Teen Advisory Board

What is the Teen Advisory Board?

The Oregon Public Library Teen Advisory Board is a group of volunteer teens (ages 13-18) who meet once per month under the supervision of the library director to work on volunteer projects and exciting programs and services that benefit our teen population. Teens will assist the librarian in deciding which books and movies will be added to the library and what programs will be offered.

Teens who join the TAB will be expected to:

  • Commit to a minimum of one hour per month
  • Participate in/assist with library programs and volunteer opportunities
  • Act as ambassadors for the library

When are the meetings?

The Teen Advisory Board meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 6pm. Scroll down on this page, or check out our events calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

What are the benefits of joining?

Great question! There are many benefits of joining a Teen Advisory Board, such as:

  • Influencing the selection of library materials and program offerings for teens
